Just found my old diabetic testing supplies circa 1984-???. -
The test tube with the dark brown glass bottle was My first testing kit… I was sent home with that from the hospital. You would collect a urine sample, put it in the test tube, drop a tablet in and then it would change color...note the color chart....Archaic!!!

The extremely large tan object was my first blood test machine. It took a whole two minutes to do a reading. After the first 60 seconds you had to dab off The blood and then close the compartment for the final reading 60 seconds later. I do have to say way better than collecting urine, however I’ll take the new testers that only take 5 seconds and it doesn’t even compare to the continuous glucose monitors that give automatic readings to my insulin pump.
